BRECHIN: SNAPSHOTS FROM THE PAST

© Copyright Brian Mitchell 2000

What follows is not meant to be a comprehensive study of the history of Brechin but rather, as the title suggests, a glimpse of some of the important and sometimes less important events of the ancient city's past. I have tried, however, where possible, to place these events in context by referring to what was happening nationally. Hopefully, it will be appreciated that research and writing will take considerarable time to complete and the narrative will be augmented accordingly.
